The Highland Local School District has an opening for two Intervention Specialist Long-Term Substitutes at Highland Middle School.
CERTIFICATIONS: Intervention Specialist (K-12) Mild/Moderate Needs is required; Dual licensure in Middle-Level Teaching and/or Reading Endorsement preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Appropriate teaching certificate or license required.
- Strong undergraduate grade point average – (preferable above 3.0/B average) from the institution granting the bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrates understanding of students' developmental characteristics and needs.
- Training and/or experience in co-teaching in Math, Social Studies, Science and Language Arts for grades 6-8.
- Demonstrates knowledge of research-supported intervention strategies.
- Ability to implement behavior plans and behavior modification strategies.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues.
- Experience writing measurable IEP goals and using a variety of data to document progress toward goals.
SALARY:
The person selected to fill this position will be paid at the standard $110 per diem for 60 days and beginning on the 61st day, the substitute will be paid at the BA, Step 0, $273.174 per diem.
