POSITION DESCRIPTION:
POSITION: Teacher – Interventionist - Grades 9-12
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid Ohio teacher’s license validated for special education
- A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General education teaching experience with implementing district initiatives with fidelity.
- Have deep content (language arts and/or math) and pedagogical knowledge.
- Demonstrate with general education students the ability to determine the essential understanding of grade level/course concepts and can teach these concepts concretely using a variety of methods and in different settings.
- Can task analyze the most complex and difficult components of a particular grade level/course concept and can provide aligned instruction to close learning gaps.
- Demonstrate ability to implement the district Pyramid process with fidelity.
- Facile with real-time formative assessment of students and alignment of instruction.
- High level of collaborative skills to ensure alignment of instruction.
- Experience implementing strategies for behavioral modifications.
- This position is for students needing intensive subject knowledge instruction and the teacher will need to work towards intervention licensure to remain in the position.
