Substitute Teacher

Description:  
Woodridge School District 68 is seeking enthusiastic substitute teacher candidates for all grade levels and subject areas.  Woodridge School District 68 has six elementary schools and a junior high school.

Qualifications:

• Valid IL teaching license or substitute teaching license
• Registered with the DuPage County Regional Office of Education
• Successfully complete criminal background investigation through the DuPage Regional Office of Education
• Submit copy of physical exam and TB test results

Responsibilities: 
1. Reports to the school office upon arrival before the official school opening.
2. Reviews with the principal / team leader, all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day.
3. Maintains the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which the substitute is assigned.
4. Assumes responsibility for pupil behavior.
5. Teaches the lessons outlined and described in the lesson plans as prepared by the absent teacher.
6. Prepares a written report for the teacher which describes the instructional activities accomplished and problems encountered while substituting.
7. Reports to the school office at the conclusion of the teaching day. Performs such other tasks as may be assigned.

Salary:  
For Support Positions:
Secretarial Substitutes $19.95 per hour
Health Aide Substitutes $19.68 per hour
Teaching Assistant Substitutes $19.15 per hour
Special Ed and Early Childhood Teaching Assistants $21.28 per hour

For Certified Positions:
Starting rate: $160 per day
Up $190 per day dependent on position and days worked in the district
Retired Woodridge 68 teachers $200 per day
