PARAEDUCATOR IN SPECIAL EDUCATION
Description: Provides academic and non-academic support to students with disabilities within general education and special education classrooms, at worksites in various job settings, and in
extracurricular activities
- IL professional educator license or IL paraprofessional license preferred
- IL substitute teacher license or ability to obtain an IL paraprofessional license required
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
Compensation:
- Hourly pay rate of $19.00 per LSSA collective bargaining agreement
- Single medical and dental insurance provided, family coverage available
- Paid sick leave and personal leave
- Paid holidays within the school year
- Position is eligible for the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF)
Work Conditions:
Full-time position, 10 month position
