TITLE: Study Hall Supervisor - Lowell High School
6.5 hours/day; $12.50/hour
JOB GOAL: To maintain a quiet, structured, and respectful environment that supports students in completing academic work during study hall periods.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or experience in an educational setting preferred.
Ability to:
- Manage and supervise high school students with fairness and consistency.
- Demonstrate understanding, patience, and a receptive attitude toward students of various age groups.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise students during assigned study hall periods to ensure a productive and orderly environment.
- Take accurate attendance and report any absences or issues to the appropriate staff.
- Enforce school rules and policies regarding behavior, technology use, and academic integrity.
- Monitor student activity to prevent disruptions and maintain focus on academic tasks.
- Assist students with locating resources or contacting teachers when appropriate.
- Communicate concerns about student behavior or performance to teachers, counselors, or administrators as needed.
- Ensure the room remains clean and orderly at the end of each period.
- Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical requirements indicated below are examples of the physical aspects that this position classification must perform in carrying out essential job functions.
- Persons performing service in this position classification will exert 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- This type of work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve running, walking or standing for brief periods.
- Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far visual acuity, depth perception, providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate business related equipment, and handle and work with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.
