Work days: to be determined for FY26
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read and follow directions
Ability to work with administrators, food service managers, co-workers, teachers, students, parents and the general public
Aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
JOB GOAL: To provide quality food for breakfast and lunch for the students and staff of Fannin County Schools that meet or exceed all federal and state requirements.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete 30-hour Orientation for Nutrition Employees (O.N.E) course.
Prepare, cook, and serve food in accordance with accepted institutional procedures under the supervision of the school nutrition manager.
Follow the daily work schedule and use standardized recipes for food preparation.
Plan for the use of leftover food with the manager.
Clean all utensils and equipment used, dispose of garbage, and mop assigned floor area.
Store all food items properly.
Keep work areas neat and clean and participate in clean-up at the end of the day.
Become familiar with the school nutrition program objectives and consequent responsibilities for meeting these objectives.
Share in any duties related to the total food service program as instructed by the manager.
Participate in training and meetings required by the district, state, or USDA.
Maintain confidentiality of information
Perform all duties as needed and assigned by the Food Service Manager, Director of Nutrition &Wellness, or designee.
