This position is scheduled to begin at the start of the 25-26 school year.
The successful applicant for this position will work closely with the grade level special education teacher. The paraprofessional provides learning support in both the resource classroom and in general education settings. The employee will work directly with students with specific learning and/or behavior needs in a 1:1, small group, or whole class setting. This position is 35 hours per week during the school year.
Qualifications: The successful candidate for this position should demonstrate a supportive and encouraging attitude towards students with unique learning needs. A general understanding of academic skills is necessary. Candidates should enjoy working with students of all ability levels, have patience and persistence. They should be comfortable working in a flexible environment, yet also be well-organized. Candidates need to be able to communicate well with both students and adults.
Working Conditions: The successful candidate will be working in both resource and general education classrooms at the middle school level.
