Educational Support Professional / ESP

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides support services to special education students as well as other general support in the classroom and school.

Various positions throughout the Grand Rapids Area School District including East Rapids Elementary, Grand Rapids High School, Itaskin Education Center, and Robert J Elkington Middle School
All positions will be Special Education and/or Bus Support for Special Education students, Cross-Categorical/Multiple Disabilities.
Schedule varies but will typically be around 6.25 hours per day on student days.
Works student days; 171 days per year, plus training time, with full-time beneift eligibility for a full year of work.
STARTING WAGE:
17.63-18.76 per hour

REQUIREMENT:
Either 60 college credits OR Paraeducator assessment completion with a passing scores.
The Paraeducator Assessment is a basic skills exam in Reading, Writing and Math. (Contact Carrie in the HR office to schedule an appointment to take the exam, if needed- 218-327-5727.)
This position will be filled in accordance with the Educational Support Professional contract.
