Description

The following position is available for the 2025-2026 school year:
PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT
Candidates shall:
- Have completed 2 years of post-secondary education, or
- Possess an Associate's or higher degree, or
- Possess a Credential of Competency Certificate
Must also have:
- Ability to work with severely handicapped students
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
- Ability to present information one-on-one or in small groups
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
- Willingness to take direction from professional staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student matters
- Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers
- Ability to establish supportive and helpful relationships with children
- Ability to handle frequent distractions
- Capability of lifting/assist with the lifting of students
- Ability and willingness to assist with students with physical self-care needs (e.g. toileting)
- Ability to drive between buildings
