The Exeter Township School District is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our facilities and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in all district-owned buildings, ensuring a safe and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment.
Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with applicable codes.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and related equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes.
Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and emergency calls.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and school district policies.
Maintain records of work completed and materials used.
Assist with general maintenance duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid state electrician license or journeyman certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
