Educational Diagnostician ~ Districtwide for the 2025-2026 School Year

This is a full-time, Educational Diagnostician position for the Caesar Rodney School District. This position will support buildings and students throughout the district. 

Individuals who will be eligible or possess Special Education Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification are encouraged to apply. Candidates must apply online. 
Applicant must meet State of Delaware certification requirements for Special Education Teacher. Successful candidates must provide evidence of successful PRAXIS II scores or a valid out of state teaching license.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified in Special Education
• Must have successful classroom experience as a special education teacher 
• Experience with case management preferred
• Experience leading professional development with colleagues preferred
• Exceptional communicator with students, staff and parents
• Experience with Special Education evaluation process
• Experience with school data solutions (eSchool, PowerSchool, iTracker, Schoology)

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Gather necessary data for Special Education evaluations
• Interview parents, students, and teachers in regard to student concerns
• Coordinate necessary documents to support Evaluation Summary Reports
• Observe students in their instructional setting to determine strengths and weaknesses
• Gather diagnostic information regarding student performance
• Gather and analyze data related to student behaviors and academic achievement for targeted students
• Demonstrate knowledge using a variety of assessment tools
• Provide support in analyzing student assessment data when requested
• Develop and maintain a confidential, collegial relationship with teachers
• Understand that job responsibilities may vary related to building needs
• Perform extra duties as assigned by the Director of Inclusive Education or the Supervisor of Special Education

Out of State Candidates: An educator applying for a license in the State of DE with less than 1 year of experience will be placed on an Initial License. Applicants with one completed year of experience, but less than 4 years of experience will receive an Initial License. The State of Delaware DOE may recognize standard certificates from all other states as a means of eligibility.

SALARY:  In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included.

• Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
• All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
• Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following:  proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver’s License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
