Description: Roseville Area Schools is seeking a Blind or Visually Impaired (BVI) Special Education Paraprofessional at Roseville Area Middle School. This position provides both direct and indirect support to an individual student and will move with the students as they transition through grade levels or schools within the district.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborating with teachers to ensure curriculum materials are accessible and converted into braille. Professional development and training will be provided.
Supporting the students in designated classes and activities as outlined in their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
This is a school-year position working 6 hours per day, starting August 26, 2025.
Required Qualifications: Special Education paraprofessionals must possess 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits of study from an institution of higher education or an AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree, OR must provide a passing score on the MN ParaPro Test or ParaEducator Assessment. Compensation: Starting salary range is $17.95 - $20.25 per hour with a district contribution toward medical and dental insurance. Special education paraprofessionals have the opportunity to earn an additional $2.00 per hour for completing free online district Special Education training.Application Timeline: Starting salary is $11.01 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour for those who complete the District Special Education Training. This position also includes a District Contribution toward health and dental insurance.
