Description
Position: High School Math Tutor
Position Available: 2025-2026 School Year
School/Department: Amity Regional High School Math Department
Primary Function: Assisting teachers in achieving teaching objectives by working directly with identified students who need support.
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications: The Interventionist will provide coaching for students who are struggling with math concepts. The successful candidate must be proficient in high school math topics such as Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2. Precalculus, Statistics and Calculus experience is a plus. A college degree in mathematics or something related is preferred. Teaching certification preferred.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to) :
- Instructing individuals and small groups of students to improve skills
- Analyzing student level data to communicate with student's teachers
- Maintaining electronic files to track progress and achievement
- Attending monthly district level content meetings
Salary: $161.00 per diem
