Special Education Supervisor

Staff Needed:  Two (2) Special Education Supervisors
  
Qualifications:
  

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid New Jersey Supervisor Certificate in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:9B-12.7
• Valid New Jersey certification as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC), School Psychologist, School Social Worker, Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Teacher of Students with Disabilities with endorsement, or Teacher of the Handicapped
• Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching or related educational experience in special education or as a member of a Child Study Team (CST)
• Demonstrate knowledge of child development of students with disabilities and special education laws and regulations (N.J.A.C. 6A:14)
• Experience and capacity to supervise and support Child Study Team members
• Strong understanding of instructional strategies, classroom management, assessments, and diagnostic tools
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and initiative
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage students, staff, parents, and community members
• Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and student data management systems

• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
