Part-time 1:1 Healthcare Assistant (LPN): Preschool Early Intervention

Status: Part-time
Schedule: 2.50 Hours/Day (8:45 am-11:15 am), Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 185 Days/Year
Minimum Hourly Salary: $27.42

Early Intervention works a stretch calendar which includes a summer session

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Health Care Assistants (HCA) are responsible for meeting the medical needs of students enrolled in IU-operated special education and alternative education classes/programs and providing reinforcement of academic skills to ensure a safe and productive classroom environment.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
 
Education Required:      High School diploma
 
Certification Required:   Licensed LPN, current CPR, AED and 1st Aid

Other Qualifications:      Willingness to work as part of an educational team and to become familiar with the unique student needs and rights and regulations governing special education placement.
                                          Willingness to provide a safe environment for the students we serve and the ability to adapt to unexpected, changing situations.
                                          Proficient computer skills.
                                          Ability to learn and utilize new programs, applications and electronic devices
