Title: Interim Assistant Superintendent
Job Summary:
The Interim Assistant Superintendent shall assist the Superintendent substantially and effectively in the task of providing leadership in the areas of curriculum and instruction to support the highest quality educational programs and services for the students and staff of Hackensack Public School.
Responsibilities will include:
Serving as a contributing member of the District’s Leadership Team and collaborating with the other units on district initiatives and problems.
Attending board and committee meetings and preparing such reports for the Board as the Superintendent may request.
Overseeing, coordinating and supervising professional development and standardized testing;
Coordinating and supervising curriculum planning, implementation, and data analysis of student achievement results;
Coordinating planning, development and evaluation of innovative curriculum programs, including the Gifted and Talented Program.
Providing educational leadership, administrative direction, supervision, and technical assistance to department and district staff;
In collaboration with the other members of the administrative and supervisory staff, conduct classroom visitations to assess program implementation, instructional effectiveness, and student participation and performance;
· Assist the Superintendent substantially and effectively in the task of providing leadership to support the highest quality educational programs and services.
Qualifications:
New Jersey School Administrator certification (Endorsement Code: 0101)
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Superintendent/Asst. Superintendent is required
Working Conditions: Central Office 191 Second Street Hackensack, NJ
Salary: Negotiable
