Job Title: Parent Ambassador & Learning Support Partner
Location: Overbrook Early Learning Center
Posion Type: Part-Time (Up to 29.5 hours/week)
Hourly Rate: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Flexible (includes occasional evenings/weekends)
Duration: 12-month position; No paid holidays or time off
Reports to: Supervisor, Overbrook Early Learning Center
About the Role: Are you a parent or caregiver who wants to strengthen family voice in early childhood education? Overbrook Early Learning Center
is seeking a Parent Ambassador & Learning Support Partners to serve as trusted community messengers and engagement leaders.
This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to build bridges between families, schools, and local services-empowering caregivers
to lead, connect, and make a lasting impact. You will work closely with the Family Resource Center, other parents, and the East
Haven Local Governance Partnership (LGP) Community Table-a team of local stakeholders committed to realizing the Office of
Early Childhood (OEC) vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a parent leader and trusted voice in the community
- Share family input and insights with the LGP Community Table
- Help families connect with programs and services
- Support family engagement events and playgroups
- Strengthen communication between school staff and caregivers
- Build relationships with community partners and organizations
- Attend training, community events, and governance meetings
- A parent or caregiver with a passion for early learning and family empowerment
- High School diploma or GED required
- Friendly, dependable, and collaborative
- Strong communication and outreach skills
- Experience in family engagement or community outreach preferred
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
- Must be available to attend occasional events and meetings during evenings or weekends
