$17.02-$19.22 an hour

Job Summary
The Athletic Financial Specialist is responsible for overseeing the business operations of the Athletics department. They order and process all athletic equipment, uniforms, and supplies; maintain financial records of all payments and balances in all Athletics accounts; and assist the District Athletic Director in all areas to ensure the Athletics Department maintains a high level of efficiency in its day-to-day operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS

73% Financial Management
  • Prepare all purchase orders and requisitions for athletic equipment and uniforms.
  • Prepare purchase orders for various costs related to athletics, including entry fees for all athletics contests, golf cart rentals, emergency medical technician coverage, cash advances for student meal money, and administrative reimbursements for the District Athletic Director and for Site Athletic Directors.
  • Verify and submit invoices for payment to the Site Financial Secretaries or Business Office for all athletic equipment, uniforms, entry fees, and other miscellaneous purchases. Resolve any issues with invoices as necessary.
  • Manage bond funds and athletic bank accounts. Evaluate balances in all accounts regularly to determine available funds.
  • Collect payments for entry fees for any tournaments or events hosted by the district. Send invoices to other schools who participate in district-hosted events.
  • Prepare bids for athletic trainer supplies as necessary.
14% Equipment and Uniform Request Forms
  • At the end of each sports season, send equipment and uniform request forms to all coaches.
  • Assist District Athletic Director with deciding which items will be purchased.
  • Monitor delivery of ordered items to ensure all items are received properly.
7% Coaching Assignments and Awards
  • Prepare list of coaching assignments each season for Board of Education.
  • Order awards for all middle school events.
6% Administrative Support
  • Assist all Site Athletic Directors as necessary.
  • Assist District Athletic Director on all marketing efforts related to stadium, facility signage, and video board.
  • Assist District Athletic Director with other duties as assigned.

Required
  • Education: Some College/Associate Degree
  • Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: N/A
  • Previous Experience:
    • 1-3 years work-related experience is required
