RSU 3 is anticipating the need for a dynamic art teacher for a full time position at Mount View Elementary School for the 2025-26 school year to provide an engaging, developmentally appropriate art program for students in grades K-5. The successful candidate will be creative and collaborative, have a passion for their content and be committed to their own professional development. Looking for a person who can create a nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning; develop positive relationships with students, motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to build a foundation for elementary grade art education, in accordance with each student’s ability and establish good relationships with parents and with other staff members. Experience with Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) is preferred.
Certification/License:
- Maine State Certification as 620 Visual Arts Teacher
- CHRC (criminal history records check) required or ability to obtain
