This position is for a self-contained classroom for students in grades K-2 with the support of a paraprofessional. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt multi-subject lessons and activities to meet the specific needs and learning styles of students with disabilities while following their IEPs.
- Utilize various teaching strategies, including differentiated instruction, small group instruction, and one-on-one support.
- Collaborate with special education and general education teachers to modify and accommodate the curriculum as needed.
- Foster a classroom culture that promotes respect, curiosity, and love for learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success.
Qualifications/Requirements: *NJ Teacher of Elementary certification and Teacher of Students with Disabilities endorsement, OR, NJ certification as Teacher of the Handicapped
Salary: *Per MEA Contract
