POSITION: Math Teacher - Comstock Middle School
SALARY:
Dependent on years of teaching experience and certification
Salary starting at $43,044
WILL HONOR 100% OF PRIOR FULL-TIME TEACHING YEARS
Eligible school for Teacher Loan Forgiveness
Merit Pay, Sick Day Buyback Program, and Tuition Reimbursement per CEA Contract
AVAILABLE: 2025-26 School Year
CERTIFICATION:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Mathematics (EX) Endorsement Grades 6-12
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
Major in Math, preferred
Additional endorsement preferred (e.g. BX, RX, DI, etc.)
Meets Highly Qualified standards for Math
Demonstrates skills in the use of technology for integration of curriculum and reporting
Proven ability to work with middle school students and at-risk students
Experience with addressing the needs of students of all ability levels
Ability to prepare students for PSAT and MSTEP
Experience in differentiated instruction
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach classes in the Math Department
Teach the approved curriculum
Maintains meaningful positive rapport with students and parents
Uses technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration
Creates and maintains effective environments for student learning
Perform essential job functions as specified for this position
Communicate with parents regarding student progress
Participate in professional development and school improvement committees
Champion and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
Other duties as assigned by administration
