POSITION TITLE: Assistant Cheer Coach
GRADES: 9-12
STATUS: Seasonal

Position Description:
Las Américas ASPIRA Academy is seeking a highly qualified, enthusiastic individual to serve as our Assistant Cheer Coach.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Principal, Athletic Director, players and parents to conduct the season.
- Serve as an advocate and role model for the academic, ethical, and moral development of students.
- Managing resources and equipment.
- Demonstrate cooperation with other sports team coaches and support all sports programs.
- Planning and managing training sessions.
- Building a positive, supportive and inclusive team environment that provides for athletic enjoyment, success and challenge.
- Ensuring the health and safety of the athletes coached.
- Follow all policies & expectations of the ASPIRA Athletics program.
Qualifications:
- Prior high school cheer coaching experience preferred.
- Understand the characteristics and needs of the athletes coached.
- Understand the components of a training session.
- Appropriate communication, management and coaching skills for the athletes coached.
