Salary:
Class III starting at $22.86
Required Education:
High School Diploma
60 credits post-secondary education or a passing score on the Para Pro Exam
Required Experience:
Experience working with secondary 9-12 grade at risk youth and adult students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Security paras will be required to complete NVCI (non-violent crisis intervention) training to obtain certification, as well as attend annual renewal training.
Responsibilities: Co-monitor all areas in coordination with other Security Para
- Manage station by entry doors for 2575 entry
- Hallway monitor on 2nd and 3rd floor of Community Education Campus in the areas where Choice, BCCA, Metro South, Community Education have offices and classes
- Bathroom monitor
- Parking Lot monitor
- Member of BERT team at Community Education Campus
- Special projects as assigned by Director of Community Education and Metro South Supervisor, Metro South Adult Basic Education, Community Education
