Dept./School: Central Office Pay Grade: $16.00hr
Reports To: Director of Human Resource Days/Dates: 2025 (Summer)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Assist the Human Resources department with organizing and managing the routine work activities, including recruiting and hiring, onboarding, and maintaining employee records and files.
Education/Certification:
Must be a current college student, preferably enrolled in a Human Resource Management degree program
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficient skills in keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret and disseminate information to individuals and groups
- Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google applications
- Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Prepare correspondence, forms, manuals, schedules, contracts, data and reports for the Executive Director of Human Resources and Director of Human Resources.
- Assist in the auditing and verification of certification and licensing information of certified or licensed professional, paraprofessional, and auxiliary employees.
- Assist with recruiting, marketing, and social media presence.
- Assist with compiling, maintaining, and filing all reports, records and other documents as required including preparing various federal, state and local reports.
- Assist with Service Record maintenance and processing requests for official district records, including maintaining log of requests for records, retrieving documents, copying and mailing records.
- Respond to requests for verification of employment.
- Assist also with the tracking of district employee vacancies and reconciling with Position Management reports.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of employment contracts, reasonable assurance and renewal letters to employees.
- Assist with the collection, maintenance and preparation of reports for collection of statistical data relative to Human Resources.
- Maintain physical and digital department files.
- Maintains confidentiality of information.
- All other duties as assigned.

Telephone, computer, printer, fax machine, calculator and copier.

Mental Demands:
Ability to communicate effectively; ability to operate computer; maintain emotional control under stress and answer and direct calls in an orderly and controlled manner.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Repetitive hand motions; multi-task work with frequent interruptions.
