LEARNING DISABILITIES TEACHER-CONSULTANT (LDTC)
2025-2026 School Year
Full-Time. Permanent Position

Position Overview
The Millstone Township School District is seeking a qualified, student-centered Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDTC). The LDTC plays a vital role in identifying and supporting students with learning needs through assessment, consultation, program development, and collaboration with educators and families.
Qualifications
Valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate with LDTC endorsement
Knowledge of current NJ special education code, evaluation procedures, and best practices in special education
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Performance Responsibilities
Participate in the evaluation, classification, and placement of students referred to the Child Study Team
Assess the academic functioning and learning characteristics of referred students and prepare comprehensive written reports
Interpret assessment findings through both formal reports and consultation with parents and staff
Assist in the development, coordination, and monitoring of individualized education programs (IEPs)
Consult regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support differentiated instruction and appropriate interventions
Serve as a case manager for assigned students, ensuring timely evaluations, meetings, and IEP reviews
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with NJ Administrative Code and district policy
Provide ongoing input for the placement and programming of classified students
Participate in continued professional development
Stay current with trends and research in special education, learning disabilities, and state/federal regulations

Salary Range: $67,000 to $84,600*
Salary & Benefits: *Per negotiated contract based on years of experience & degrees earned
