Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under general supervision, provide security and protection for students, staff, and visitors within an assigned area of the district. Provides escort services, and other basic public assistance services as needed, Performs routine security and public safety patrol duties within assigned area. Remains alert to emergency situations and provides first-line response, emergency management, and/or referral if required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Certificate of training as security officer – Level II preferred (certification must be acquired prior to employment start date)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to clearly and accurately record information
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members
Ability to demonstrate problem solving and responsible decision-making skills
Ability to maintain and project professional appearance
