TITLE: Dishwasher
SCHEDULE: M-F on student attendance days when lunch is being served.
*Some Institute days are required for training.
- Part-Time - approximately 3.25 hours per day
- $16.25/hour
- Holiday Pay on: Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, President's Day, Good Friday. *Holiday pay will be equal to that of your normal work day.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
Experience in school food service preferred.
Successful completion of fingerprint based criminal background check (IL State Police and FBI), sex offender and violent youth offender screening, and employment physical.
REPORTS TO: Food Services Director
JOB GOAL: To perform dishwashing to support the cafeteria in the production and serving of safe, healthy, and nutritious meals for the students of the Central School District 51.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applies knowledge of the Illinois Administrative Code of Public Health and maintains a high standard of sanitation and safety and ensure all problems are corrected if any.
Cleans and sanitizes the dishwashing area before and after each lunch including drying the work area completely by using a squeegee.
Uses the kitchen equipment and cleans/sanitizes them after each use.
Organizes and keeps track of the related item inventory, reporting any items that must be ordered.
De-limes the dishwasher once every month.
Removes all trash/garbage in dishwashing area each day.
Practices a high level of work ethics and excellent communication.
Reports student discipline issues to the food services director or certified staff member on duty.
Maintains a good attendance record and communicates absences with the food services director.
Practices good personal hygiene and follows sanitation and safety procedures as set by the food services director.
Completes Epi-Pen training provided by the school nurse.
Maintains regular attendance and punctuality to ensure teamwork and the completion of job duties essential to the daily operation of the school.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the principal/assistant principal and other district office administrators as designated by the superintendent.
Adheres to a professional code of ethics which includes confidentiality of school related matters and loyalty to the school district.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 months - school calendar year when students are in attendance and institute or SIP days as requested by the principal/assistant principal. Hourly rate approved by the Board of Education.
