Position: Special Education Process Coordinator
Qualifications:
Education Level: Masters Degree or above with an emphasis in Special Education
Certification: Special Education
Experience desired: Minimum of 2 years experience as a Process Coordinator preferred
Other Requirements: CPI Trained - Training will be provided by Willard Public Schools

Performance Responsibilities:
Complete the screening sheets for transfer and new referral records
Contact parents regarding the evaluation process, as needed
Obtain permission for evaluations for initial referrals, as needed
Contact previous school districts in order to obtain necessary information to develop an IEP (interim for transfer students)
Attend IEP meetings
Oversee evaluation process K-12
Organize and ensure completion of evaluation reports
Assist with testing, staffing, and special education teachers' development of IEPs and obtain placement permission
Proofread and approve evaluation reports written by teachers and counselors
Be available to teachers and other school personnel as consultant
Assist with testing for ECSE and State School children
Be available to attend meetings before and after school as needed
Assist the Executive Director of Student Services in researching and/or implementing new program components
Develop, provide, and promote regular in service training to special education staff regarding special education procedures and assist mainstream classroom teachers with inclusion facilitation.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Executive Director of Student Services.
