Through the Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services (ADSIS) model, we proactively address behavioral needs to help students thrive. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled ADSIS Behavior Interventionist to join our team and provide vital support to K-6 students requiring behavior interventions.
Position Summary:
The ADSIS Behavior Interventionist plays a key role in delivering evidence-based behavior supports to K-6 students who require additional assistance outside of special education. This position involves close collaboration with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to implement strategies that foster positive behavior, increase engagement, and build social-emotional skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to K-6 students identified for ADSIS behavioral services, individually or in small groups.
Implement behavior intervention plans aligned with ADSIS and district guidelines.
Collaborate with teachers and intervention teams to develop behavioral plans.
Track, monitor, and document student progress using data-based decision making.
Support school-wide behavior initiatives and tiered interventions (MTSS/PBIS).
Help students develop self-regulation, coping skills, and problem-solving strategies.
Participate in student support meetings and provide input on behavioral needs and progress.
Maintain communication with staff and families to ensure consistency across environments.
Respond to behavior escalations using trained de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed approaches.
Qualifications:
Required:
Valid Minnesota teaching license
Experience working with children or youth in educational or behavioral support settings
Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, student-centered approach
Ability to work collaboratively within a team structure
Commitment to equitable and inclusive practices
Preferred:
Familiarity with the ADSIS framework and MTSS/RTI systems
Training in behavior intervention strategies (e.g., PBIS, CPI)
Experience supporting students with challenging behaviors or social-emotional needs
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $45,744 - $54,944, commensurate with education and experience
