SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 has a full-time (1.0 FTE) opening for a Middle School Social Studies Teacher to teach for our Elevate Online program beginning Fall 2025.

Description:
Middle School Social Studies Teacher, 1.0 FTE for 185 Contract Days.
Educate, plan, teach, facilitate, and evaluate students identified as having a disability. Many of the students exhibit social, emotional, cognitive and/or behavioral needs that require a significant level of support.
Pay & Benefits:
The starting pay for a full-time first-year teacher in SWMetro is $48,076 based on the approved teacher contract. The successful candidate will be placed on the salary scale based on experience.
Job Summary:
Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
Qualifications:
- Minnesota Teaching License for 6-12 Social Studies
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.
- This is a remote teaching position; however, the majority of the work must be performed within the state of Minnesota. The employee will be required to develop a remote work plan that clearly demonstrates their ability to meet this requirement.
