Position Purpose
We are seeking a passionate and qualified TESOL teacher to join our team and support English language learners in the Goshen Local School District. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction and, preferably, the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish to better serve our bilingual student population.
Develop and deliver engaging ESL lessons aligned with state standards and students’ language proficiency levels
Assess student progress and language development through formative and summative assessments
Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to integrate language support into content instruction
Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment for multilingual learners
Communicate with families, including Spanish-speaking families, to provide updates and support student success
Participate in professional development and contribute to program improvement initiatives
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
Equipment
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel Requirements
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiates instruction based upon student learning styles.
- Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts.
- Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
- Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Works in standard office and school building environments.

Qualifications Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Valid Ohio teaching license with TESOL endorsement or ability to obtain one
Experience teaching English Language Learners (ELLs) in K–12 or adult education settings
Strong intercultural communication and classroom management skills
Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred
Commitment to equity and cultural responsiveness in education
Teaching license
Experience using technology to enhance language learning
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus.
