Description
LUNCH & RECESS SUPERVISOR (K-3)
REPORTS TO: Elementary School Administration
PAY TYPE: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Classified, Non-Supervisory
PAY RATE: Starting at $13 / hr.
BENEFITS: Not eligible for benefits
SCHEDULE: Part-time; 2.25 hrs. / day; Up to 178 days / year; Follows school calendar

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the supervision of students during lunch periods and recess (indoor/outdoor)
- Monitors student behavior to ensure safety and adherence to school rules
- Enforces safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Other duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Education, Training, and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Prior experience in schools or child care
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Excellent dependability and punctuality
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works indoors in a cafeteria setting and outdoors in various weather conditions
- May work in close proximity to students and staff
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Frequently exposed to noise levels typical in school and playground settings
