School Bus Maintenance Technician

Description:
Full-Time School Bus Maintenance Technician - See attached job description for complete list of job functions and responsibilities.

Work Schedule:
12 months

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years documented experience repairing and servicing school buses,
• Demonstrated success in performing a wide variety of tasks requiring a proficient understanding of school bus repair.
• Valid Class B CDL license with School Bus Endorsement or ability to obtain one.
• Knowledge of IDOT school bus safety inspection procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Required to pass a physical examination and background checks prior to employment and a physical examination yearly thereafter.
• Must possess reading and writing skills which will allow continued growth of knowledge base.
• Exhibit computer skills including a knowledge of Google Suite.
• Must be able to maintain a positive working relationship with the Director of Transportation and bus driving staff.
• Must possess a strong work ethic and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work well and treat others with respect as well as take initiative in all areas of responsibility.
• Exemplify a customer service oriented attitude.
