Full-Time School Bus Maintenance Technician - See attached job description for complete list of job functions and responsibilities.
Work Schedule:
12 months
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years documented experience repairing and servicing school buses,
- Demonstrated success in performing a wide variety of tasks requiring a proficient understanding of school bus repair.
- Valid Class B CDL license with School Bus Endorsement or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of IDOT school bus safety inspection procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required to pass a physical examination and background checks prior to employment and a physical examination yearly thereafter.
- Must possess reading and writing skills which will allow continued growth of knowledge base.
- Exhibit computer skills including a knowledge of Google Suite.
- Must be able to maintain a positive working relationship with the Director of Transportation and bus driving staff.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work well and treat others with respect as well as take initiative in all areas of responsibility.
- Exemplify a customer service oriented attitude.
