Medical Assisting Program Instructor, High School Teaching
Description
General Description: Instruct high school students in the basic skills related to the medical assisting.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 3 years work experience Allied Health; Medical Assisting preferred.
-Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience with knowledge of course development, instruction and evaluation preferred.
-Medical Assistant certification through a certifying body recognized by the National Certification Corporation with a minimum of an Associate Degree OR at least seven (7) years of experience in an Allied Health field; Bachelor’s Degree in related healthcare field preferred.
-Must meet all qualifications for the appropriate license though the Illinois State Board of Education. Valid Professional Educator License that is current and registered in DuPage County with endorsement in Medical Assistant(Candidates with valid ISBE teaching licenses must also have at least two years of directly related work experience).

- Official transcripts, in unopened, sealed envelopes, showing 60 semester hours of credit from a recognized educational institution.
- Documented evidence of 2,000 hours of work experience in the skill area.
- Documented evidence of 8,000 hours of work experience in the specific skill area to be taught.
