Position Title: Employee Relations Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Human Resources & Asst. Superintendent of HR
Supervises: None
Knowledge & Skills Strong oral and written communication skills;
Required: Strong Decision-making and interpersonal relationship skills;
Successful teaching and/or Human Resources experience;
Experience in computerized database and/or spreadsheet systems.
Supervisory and/or administrative experience preferred.
Education, Training NC Educator’s License
Required: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
Term of Employment: 12 months
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Monitor the Classified Personnel non-reappoint process, Performance Improvement Plans, and documentation of Below Standard ratings.
- Monitor the status of classified personnel on LOA, Worker’s Compensation, and Short-Term Disability.
- Attend Recruitment Events as Needed.
- Assist with intakes of employee concerns.
- Assist the Director of Human Resources with investigations.
- Update and Maintain the Employee Handbook.
- Maintain required reports for Pitt County Schools and the Department of Public Instruction.
- Send out and collect Teacher Exit survey forms.
- Lead planning and coordination for the Teacher of the Year and Employee of the Year Luncheon and Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year Celebration.
- Correspond with principals and directors regarding paperwork and processes.
- Assist with other departmental functions/events.
- Assist in providing Professional Development to personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
