School Social Worker / Wellness Counselor

To work in conjunction with the case managers, as part of the Child Study Team, as well as teachers and related-service providers. To provide students with counseling services and guidance.                            
           
QUALIFICATIONS:             

1. Holds valid New Jersey Educational Services and School Social Worker or School Psychologist certificate.
2. Child Study Experience with transition planning.
3. Experience in job placement and program development.
4. Experience in interacting with community support agencies.
5. Experience in crisis management.
6. Possess experience in working with students, families and community health and social services agencies.
7. Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents and administration.
8. Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing special education.
9. Experience in counseling parents and students to help them achieve desirable outcomes.
10. Experience in developing and running groups across various topics
11. Successful completion of required criminal history background.
