Job Summary:

  1. Teach curriculum of Independent School District 196 for the following classes:
    • Vehicle Services
    • Advanced Vehicle Services
  2. Carry out responsibilities as defined by the master contract.
  3. Carry out responsibilities as defined by the principal.
  4. Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and parents.

Qualifications: 
  1. Licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach Transportation Careers, Auto Body Repair Occupations, Auto Mechanics, and/or Vehicle Services Occupations or willingness and ability to secure a community expert license.
  2. Strong general academic background.
  3. Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community.
  4. Ability to instruct and design instruction to develop students’ understanding and application of knowledge and skills required in transportation careers including vehicle services such as auto mechanics, small engine or recreational vehicle repair, and auto body service occupations.
  5. Ability to maintain a safe and organized automotive shop.
  6. Ability to teach and develop the customer services skills that learners need to work in vehicle service careers.
  7. Ability to teach the communicative and ethical standards learners need for careers in vehicle services. 
  8. NATEF accredited experience preferred 
  9. Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Compensation / Benefits: 
According to contractual agreement.
