Anaconda School District is accepting applications for the following position for the 2025-2026 school year:

Title: JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER

Essential Job Duties
• Delivers English Curriculum aligned to our ELA Implementation
• Attends and participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and other meetings as
required.
• Provides an appropriate educational program for each student.
• Complies with Board policies, rules, regulations, and directives.
• Plans curriculum, lessons, and Junior/Senior High School programs and teaching methods.
• Monitors students' progress in an inclusive learning environment.
• Maintains regular contact with parents of students.
• Evaluates student progress based on work output and observation, determines goals,objectives, and directions.
• Prepares report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and otherforms.
• Consults with other professionals and teaching staff regarding progress of students andrelated educational matters.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to follow oral or written work orders and to coordinate work with principal andothers.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups and utilize specific, job related equipment.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, the
public, and staff members.
• Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the courseof work.
• Ability to manage time and responsibilities, adapt to changing work priorities,
communicate with diverse groups, maintaining confidentiality, meet deadlines and
schedules.
• Ability to set priorities, work as part of a team and work with and manage frequent
interruptions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student matters.
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board policies.
• Ability to schedule activities, meetings, and/or events, gather, collate, and/or classify data and use job-related equipment.
• Skill in adhering to safety practices.
• Skill in preparing and maintaining accurate records and using pertinent software
applications (as required).
Required Qualifications
1. Valid Montana Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement
2. Bachelor's Degree and/or Advanced Degree
Preferred Qualifications
1. Successful experience teaching and working with Junior/Senior High School Students


EQUIPMENT USED : Computer, calculator, copier, telephone/voice mail, fax.

WORK ENVIRONMENT : While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside and outside.  The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints.  The employee frequently will work irregular or extended work hours while performing the duties of this job.  The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, and stand; twist at neck and waist; kneel.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  The employee is required to be able to hear conversations in quiet environments.  May be required to lift or move up to 20 pounds.

MENTAL/MOTOR DEMANDS : While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely performs routine work.  The employee frequently exercises flexibility (ability to shift from one task to another).  Guidance and reinforcement are infrequently available.  The employee frequently works within time constraints and maintains attentiveness intensity.  The employee is frequently involved in social interactions which require oral and written communications.
