Position Title:
Classification 2.2 – General Maintenance/Grounds
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements unless otherwise noted:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read and write in English and demonstrate strong mathematical skills.
- Candidates may be required to complete testing in relevant skill areas.
- Additional coursework or seminars related to building maintenance preferred.
- Basic knowledge and experience in:
- Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry.
- Window replacement and general building repairs.
- Boiler and heating systems.
- Swimming pool maintenance and operations.
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of tractors, trucks, and related equipment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and equipment (both electric and gas-powered).
- Capable of maintaining accurate records and inventory of materials, parts, and supplies.
- Must meet all other job qualifications as adopted and published by Monroe Public Schools.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $19.99 per hour as per contract.
- Additional Pay: An extra $0.75 per hour for employees required to obtain and maintain special licenses or certifications necessary for their duties.
