REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:        Executive Director for Secondary Education


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate plus additional training and 3-5 years experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with the general public and all levels of personnel by phone, email and in person.
Ability to work with confidential information, maintain confidentiality and work in a professional manner.
Ability to organize work, set priorities, work under pressure and meet firm deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Demonstrated evidence of collaboration in the workplace.
Demonstrated evidence of prioritizing tasks and timely completion of work expectations, meeting deadlines and mufti-tasking within the workplace.
Proficiency in computer use for word processing, database management, spreadsheets, and presentations. Experience using advanced spreadsheet and database management features desired.
Evidence of good writing skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide secretarial services to administrators for Secondary Education (Middle Schools/High Schools) as well as Career and Technical Education (CTE).
Complete CTE State Reports.
Maintain calendar (make appointments and set up meetings).
Compose letters and memos, handle correspondence, schedule meetings and appointments, set up and maintain files.
Maintain complex files and records.
Schedule and process conference and travel arrangements.
Respond to public requests in a professional and timely manner while demonstrating positive customer service.
Revise, order and distribute booklets and forms used for Secondary instruction and administration.
Receive and respond to a variety of requests or inquiries from students, staff, parents and the general public.
Compile and maintain procedural manuals for administrators.
Prepare various reports and materials for the Board of Education.
Process payroll as required.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Other related duties as assigned.

This is a full  time position, requiring regular reliable and predictable attendance on site to successfully perform the essential  functions of this job.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.  Editing experience required.
Speak effectively with customers and/or employees.
Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    
REASONING ABILITY:
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.  The employee may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds such as boxes of paper.
