Mechanic

Position:  Mechanic

Location:  Transportation Department

Work Schedule:  8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 12 months per year

Salary Range:  $21.81 to $34.11 per hour

This position qualifies for family level insurance benefits and a board paid life insurance policy.

Required Qualifications:

•          Experience working with diesel and gasoline engines.
•          Knowledge/experience with Air Brake systems.
•          Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid CDL License, minimum Class B with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements.
•          Less than 5 points on Drivers License abstract.
•          Pass all components of a T-8 Physical Exam, with drug/alcohol testing.
•          Ability to work collaboratively with others.
•          Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.
•          Must pass an FBI/BCI Background Check

Preferred Qualifications:

•          Knowledge of school bus bodies/chassis.
•          Must be familiar with Ohio State Highway Patrol bus inspection requirements.
