Instructional Interventionalist (FTE)
(K-5)
Responsibillities include:
- Academic Interventions:
- Play an active role in providing Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 MTTS academic interventions
- Work closely with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders with D's and F's
- Track and monitor student academic engagement, report to principal and SLT
- Professionally communicate with parents regarding students' academic engagement (i.e., homework, class participation)
- Provide tutoring and remediation to individual students and students in small groups during the school day
- Play an active role supporting teachers and students during our Structured Intervention Time
- Facilitate a lunch time Homework Help Club for students
- Assistant with planning and preparing for school-wide academic celebrations
- Behavorial Intervention:
- Play an active role in providing Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 MTSS behavorial interventions
- Track and monitor discipline referrals, report to Principal and SLT
- Professionally communicate with parents regarding student misconduct
- Quickly and effectively remediate minor conduct infractions with restorative practices that allow students to remain in the classroom
- Provide mentoring and restorative discipline to individual students and students in small groups during the school day
- Other duties assigned by the Principal
