Teacher; Elementary MLL (Leave Replacement 2025-26)
Contract type: Leave Replacement
FTE: 1.0
Grades: K-5
Anticipated start date: August 19, 2025
Anticipated end date: March 27, 2026
Salary: $67,032 - $134,596 per year* (2024/25 SVEA Salary Schedule) *2025/26 TBD. Salary range based on 1.0 FTE.

**Required: Valid Washington State certificate with appropriate endorsement required (students may submit a note stating when certificate is expected).

The MLL teacher provides specialized instruction and support to students identified as Multilingual Learners in grades K-5. The focus is on developing students' English language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, supporting students' academic growth and proficiency, and monitoring students' progress. The MLL teacher works within the daily MTSS framework to create a schedule for pull out and push in services. The MLL teacher collaborates with classroom teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure students receive appropriate support and resources.

  • Insurance: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, basic life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance provided the assignment is anticipated to work at least 630 hours per year.*
  • Retirement Plans: This position is eligible for a 403(b) TSA Retirement Savings Plan.
  • Paid Holidays: This position is not eligible for paid holidays. 
  • Paid Time Off: Certificated employees receive 12 sick days and 2 discretionary personal leave days each school year. Sick leave and discretionary personal leave days are based on scheduled hours and position start date.
