Description
Regional School District 8 is accepting applications for full time School Safety Officers for RHAM High School and RHAM Middle School beginning in the 2025/2026 school year. Under the supervision of school and district administration, safety officers help foster positive relationships with members of the school community by being a visible presence throughout the schools and school grounds while maintaining a safe and secure school environment. These positions are 10 month, 40 hours per week. Compensation for this position will be $25 an hour. Shifts will be flexible and may begin as early as 6:45 a.m. and may conclude as late as 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
Law Enforcement or Department of Corrections experience preferred.
Prior work experience with two years of progressively responsible security and/or education experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to successfully complete the certification program upon hiring.
Candidate must possess a valid Connecticut Driver’s License

Regional School District 8 (RHAM) is a high-performing, regionalized secondary school district serving approximately 1,200 students in grades seven through twelve residing in the towns of Hebron, Andover, and Marlborough. The district consists of one middle school and one high school located on a shared campus in Hebron, CT. The district offers rich academic experiences for students through a robust program of studies, as well as a variety of sports, extracurricular activities, and clubs to provide students with a well-rounded education.
