SY 25-26 - Math, Science, Special Education Secondary Teacher

JOB TITLE:              Secondary School Teacher (Math, Science, Special Education)  
 
JOB LOCATION:    Red Clay Consolidated School District,
 
100 North Dupont Road, Wilmington, Delaware 19807
 
The following duties will be performed:
  

1. Prepare materials and classroom for class activities, including preparing materials for those students identified as special education.
2. Follow District approved curriculum. 
3. Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations in one or more subjects, such as English, science, mathematics, or social studies. Ensure instruction is appropriate for students identified as special education. 
4. Demonstrate familiarity and adherence to the District’s Mission and Goals. 
5. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students’ progress. 
6. Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law, district policies, and administrative regulations. 
7. Prepare for assigned classes and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisors. 
8. Work with diverse student population and staff. 
9. Attend and participate in required pre-service and staff development meetings. 
10. Conduct required parent-teacher meetings.

 
 
Minimum Experience:                     12 months’ experience as a STEM teacher.
 
Minimum Education:                       Master of Arts, Teaching English as a Second Language, or similar teaching degree.
 
Special Requirements:                    State of Delaware, Department of Education Secondary Education License (or ability to obtain).
                                                           State of Delaware, Department of Education Continuing Licenses in Secondary Science and Math; Special Education Teacher of Students with Disabilities (or ability to obtain).
