Coach/Trainer
Description
Assist the Assistant Principal of Athletics, Co-Curricular Activities, and Postsecondary Programs in the planning, preparation, and execution of all interscholastic athletic activities during the fall, winter, and spring atheltic seasons (including pre-seasons) for the 2025-2026 school year.
Duties include:
Assist in the coordination of all interscholastic athletic activities. Serve as site manager for practices and home and away games as needed. Oversee payroll, vouchers and purchasing for home events. Assist coaches in preparing and coordinating practice schedules, transportation and officials. Monitor needs and safety of visiting teams, officials and spectators at home events. Ensure compliance with New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association rules and regulations. Coordinate and schedule the use of fields and venues with outside organizations. Communicate with the assignor to provide officials for home events. Manage team schedules, including make-up games, advancement in tournaments. Confirm transportation arrangements for competitions, assist secretary if necessary in obtaining transportation. Maintain an inventory of team uniforms and equipment. Recommend purchases of uniforms and equipment. Confirm trainer coverage; inform the trainer of changes to the schedule. Coordinate security for events with anticipated high attendance. Schedule per diem site managers. Attend first two days of fall pre-season; address any questions or concerns from parents. Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal regarding athletics.
Qualifications:
New Jersey Teacher Certification or Substitute Certificate required.
Knowledge and experience with high school athletics.
Ability to work with others.
Stipend: $15,000
