Position Overview

We are seeking a highly collaborative and knowledgeable School Psychologist with a passion for supporting mental wellness and positive behavior supports. This position is designed for professionals who have experience with removing barriers to learning through systems-level consultation, behavior intervention support, and the promotion of mental wellness and positive behavior supports.

While some assessment is required, the primary focus of this role is consultation with district staff, administrators, and families—particularly around challenging behavior, neuro-informed practices, restorative approaches, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and building sustainable Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support consultation efforts on challenging behaviors, partnering with educators, administrators, and families to develop proactive, trauma-informed strategies.
  • Conduct neuro-informed Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop comprehensive, self-regulation-focused Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Provide training and consultation around PBIS/MTSS frameworks and implementation across school tiers.
  • Support schools in fostering environments that promote self-regulation and co-regulation.
  • Collaborate with districts and early childhood programs to design and refine MTSS systems that are inclusive and responsive to student needs.
  • Ensure practices align with special education law, IDEA compliance, and evidence-based approaches.
  • Deliver high-quality professional development and coaching to school staff and leadership.
  • Become a member of a team known for innovative, cutting edge service delivery and national-level recognition.

Qualifications

  • Valid School Psychologist license or certification in Ohio.
  • Demonstrated expertise in behavioral consultation, FBAs, BIPs, PBIS, and trauma-informed, restorative practices.
  • Strong knowledge of special education law and its practical application.
  • Experience supporting MTSS frameworks and conducting systems-level work.
  • Skilled in facilitating meaningful collaboration between educators, administrators, and families.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.

What We Offer

  • A unique opportunity to make an impact across multiple school communities through innovative, high-leverage consultation.
  • A supportive, forward-thinking team environment with a national reputation for excellence.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
  • Continuous professional learning and leadership opportunities.
  • Location: Montgomery County Educational Service Center – Regional Support
