Duties and Responsibilities (Illustrative):

The HVAC instructor will be responsible for units of study including but not limited to the following: general and basic knowledge in HVAC systems, basic tools, service procedures, trouble shooting and gas heating equipment and controls, ductwork, piping and tube skills, air-flow basics, oil heating, and indoor air quality. The instructor should have experience in the supervisory capacity over others and be able to evaluate individual student progress and make sure that each student can meet workplace standards required in the field.
Student objectives are:

• To develop skill in the use of tools and equipment common to HVAC. 
•  To develop a basic understanding of HVAC.
•  To develop positive work habits which include assuming responsibility, following instructions and    the ability to work with others. 
•  To develop job seeking employability skills necessary to succeed in the working world. 
•  Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned

Desired Requirements:

• Apprenticeship skilled trades experience is highly desirable.

• Strong communication skills (verbally and written).

• Excellent organizational skills.

• An understanding of diverse academic, racial, socio-economic, cultural backgrounds.

Strong skills managing processes and timelines.

Anticipated Salary: $33.00 - $34.00/hour.
