Description: Community Consolidated School District 89 is seeking a substitute Orchestra Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year (approximate dates 09/22/2025- 12/19/2025) during a maternity leave.
Job Summary: To provide all students with an ongoing program in Orchestra. This Teacher will lead rehearsals, prepare students for performances, and may also teach basic music theory and other music-related subjects. This teacher will work with students of varying skill levels typically focusing on string instruments and possibly percussion
Qualifications: Ideally the most qualified candidates for this position will hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) with Illinois State Board of Education with the necessary endorsements. Educators with other combined endorsements and/or experiences may be considered.

Compensation: Compliance with the teachers' Collective Bargaining Agreement (currently under negotiations)
