The North Plainfield School District, a culturally diverse school district in Somerset County serving 3,700 students Pre-K through grade 12, seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professional for the position of Certified Athletic Trainer at North Plainfield High School.
The Certified School Athletic Trainer will provide comprehensive athletic training services for all High School and Middle School athletic teams. This is a 10-month position, with additional hours beyond the contracted schedule compensated on a per diem basis. The Athletic Trainer is responsible for the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions related to athletic participation. This role requires collaboration with coaches, school nurses, administrators, physicians, and families to ensure the health and safety of student-athletes during practices, games, and other athletic events.
Qualifications:
- School Athletic Trainer Standard Certificate thorugh the State Board of Medical Examiners
- Satisfactorily complete the requirements established by the State Board of Medical Examiners for licensure as an athletic trainer. A candidate must submit a copy of their athletic trainer license.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as required by the state
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification Prior experience working with adolescent athletes in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Salary: $66,765 (minimum) to $99,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
